EBA upholds freedom of expression

‘Index on Censorship is a nonprofit that campaigns for and defends free expression worldwide. We publish work by censored writers and artists, promote debate, and monitor threats to free speech.

We believe that everyone should be free to express themselves without fear of harm or persecution – no matter what their views.

Index’s aim is to raise awareness about threats to free expression and the value of free speech as the first step to tackling censorship.

Index relies entirely on the support of donors and readers to do our work.’

about Index on Censorship

Europe Business Assembly (EBA), as a long-standing activist in matters related to upholding human rights and freedom of expression, is always guided by its own position on such issues and continues to support strongly like-minded communities and organizations.

Totally sharing the view that free expression is vital to humanity and it’s foundation of a free society, EBA is also contributing as Donor to campaigning publishing organisation Index on Censorship’.

It is obviously that free expression encourages more open and tolerant societies. EBA stands for it: for the value of free speech and stereotype breaking; for fluid and honest dialogue between society and those who have need to be heard.

EBA is AGAINST censorship.

Keep your minds always open to extreme possibilities, truthful stories and unfairly slandered activities. As well as EBA makes it!

Abstract the publication of almanac: ‘World Awards in Masterpieces of Timeless Art’

Awards (orders, medals, insignia, prizes, valuable gifts, as well as honorary titles) are a public recognition of person’s merits to the state, society, and religious community. Today, many awards are out of use, but some have kept their relevancy up to the present day and continue to be used alongside the new ones, which are established in accordance with changing political, economic and social foundations of separate countries, as well as the whole world. As a rule, they are presented on behalf of monarchs, heads of state, knightly orders, public organizations, and church denominations. This exclusive publication is a social project of Europe Business Assembly (Oxford, UK). It does not only explain about current unique prizes of European royal courts, aristocratic clubs, knightly orders, and separate religions, but also presents pictorial, sculptural and photographic works from the most famous treasuries of world culture. The authors aim to acquaint the general reader with the history of origin and creation of awards, their influence upon not only the fate of prizemen themselves, but also the development of states-founders and the world community as a whole.

EBA is with the United Nations!

We are proud to announce that on the 30th of October EBA delegation together with Dr Jessy Lai, Founder and Group CEO of Monspace Multinational Corporation from Malaysia, who is an official member of the EBA group in Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), in special consultancy status attended Bi-Annual meeting with Mr Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva. During the meeting director general informed the participants about UN developments and priorities.

Amongst most important issues were Disarmament, impact of digital technology on work of mediators in preventing violent conflicts, Geneva Peace week 2018 with an overarching theme of Building Peace in Turbulent World and projects such as Newsletter on Impact Stories offering solutions into massive impact that the International Geneva has in everybody’s lives and Iceberg series, which is a collection of 9 books about added value of the work of international organisations.

The latter projects aimed at informing the public in a balanced and honest manner. This approach is supported by Europe Business Assembly and during the question time Ivan Savvov congratulated Mr Møller on his initiatives as well as pointed out the new damaging phenomenon such as ‘fake news’ and stressed the importance of delivering news in a factual and balanced way. Mr Møller agreed that news has to be constructive that not portray only catastrophes and negativity, but find ways and solutions for the problems and therefore empowering people to act positively. Mr Møller said that fake news has to be specifically addressed and more work is to be done. Last year after brutal attack by the Times newspaper on its members Europe Business Assembly has initiated a project for fighting the ‘fake’ news and welcomes businessmen, academics and general public to make suggestions, share experience and take active part.

So we choose the only direction - Ahead!
