Vasily Aristov is a Director General of RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF COSMIC AND AVIATION MATERIALS COMPANY LIMITED.

He was born on March 20, 1959 in the city of Rasskazovo, Tambov Region.

In 1984 he graduated from the postgraduate school of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, for which he was awarded the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences (analogue to Ph.D.).

In 1987 he creates NIIKAM Co. Ltd.

The NIIKAM complex includes scientific laboratories (institute), and a factory for production of materials for space and aviation only of its own design.

Vasily Fedorovich is an ideological inspirer, chief technical specialist and a permanent leader of the “Institute of Cosmic and Aviation Materials” for more than 30 years.

One of his specific merits is the development of a complex of materials for multi layer insulation (MLI) for spacecrafts, consisting from 40-60 layers and more than 10 different materials providing all Russian space enterprises with new types of MLI.

In 2014, a new class of unique cyanate ester binders was synthesized for the manufacture of composite materials of the 21st century.

This allowed to increase in several times strength and reduce the weight of aircraft and their parts, allowing to impart them radio transparency and fire resistance and withstand temperatures from -180 °C to + 250 °C.

With this he made a real revolution in the field of world materials science!

The holder of more than 90 patents for inventions in the field of materials science of the aerospace industry for automatic spacecraft, manned spacecraft, launch vehicles, spacesuits, which are mastered for production at NIIKAM Co. Ltd.

"NIIKAM" Co Ltd. designs and manufactures:

1) Materials for thermal insulation and thermal control, goods made from these materials are used for supplying thermal conditions of the devices;

2) Binders based on cyanic ester and prepreg based on it, used in manufacture of precision reflectors and other structural details;

3) Structural adhesives for bonding composite materials;

4) Polymeric material with memory shape used in disclosed constructs.

5) For developing new materials a unique technical equipment designed and manufactured.
