International Insurance Company (SL) Limited (IIC) was incorporated on the 23rd of September, 2002, under the Companies Act. The Company obtained Certificate of Registration and License under the Business Registration Act No. 17 of 1972 on the 7th of October, 2002 and was subsequently granted approval on the 19th of May, 2003 to underwrite the following classes of Insurance: Fire, Marine, Motor and Miscellaneous (General Accident) and obtained the license for Life Assurance in 2010.
