Being among the young and developing universities of Turkey, Mardin Artuklu University was established in 2007 in Mardin which is one of the oldest settlements of Mesopotamia. By the 2015-2016 Academic Year the university provides service for education, research and practice activities through 7 faculties, 4 graduate schools, 7 vocational schools, 3 institutes, 1 state conservatory and 8 research and application centers. It has nearly 8000 students, 443 academicians and 281 administrative staff. Mardin Artuklu University enables various languages and cultures of the region to revive in education. By international cooperation protocols, the university continues its work with the aim of spreading its training concept to wide geography.
