Yangon University of Education (YUOE) is one of the 186 tertiary level universities in Myanmar. Formally it was named as the Teacher Training College (TTC) and was established in 1931. TTC became Yangon Institute of Education in 1964 and later became YUOE in 2014. YUOE is a medium organization comprising about 3,000 day students and more than 3,000 in-service teachers as correspondence students, 7,500 students from Practising School, 210 university teaching staff (almost all of them are Master Degree holders), 223 administrative support staff, and 175 Practising School teachers.
