ASADI International Board of Governors ( IBOG), consisting of noted personalities in the field of Architecture from all parts of the world, guide ASADI in achieving its vision and the ASADI Board of Studies (BOS), consisting of leading architects from all over India, assists in the academic strategies to be developed. ASADI is ideally located right in the heart of the city of Kochi, in a beautiful island named Silver Sand Island.

In the words of Prof. Ar. B.R Ajit, “This school (ASADI) has been started with the sole objective of creating a new breed of young architects who are fully committed to the social need of the day, who will fully honour the sustainability commitment and who will have the ability to change the way the world thinks and behaves, by creating a better and more responsible environment, especially to house the unfortunate billions, who presently only have the sky as a roof above them”.

ASADI provides a totally different approach to architecture education in achieving the above goals for preparing graduates in architecture who are ready and responsible architects committed to doing good for the society. Towards this end, we have incorporated very many new methodologies in architecture education like, integration of verticals and horizontals from Year One, adopting the Gurukula system of education, learning from the masters, uncovering and enhancing the inborn creativity in the students by greater freedom of thought, hands on training and such like.

VISION:

In the Indian Sub- Continent as well as in a few other parts of the world, ASADI means freedom. As the name signifies, the objective of ASADI as a school is to create an environment of education that is free of all the shackles of preconceived notions and beliefs. The students are encouraged to express their own philosophy, thus motivating them to be free thinkers. ASADI will endeavor to create a society of ‘Ready Architects’ who will think and work towards the betterment of the future of mankind.  The guiding principle of this school is to produce competent professionals with a passion for being useful to the society, on par with peers across the world and also to prepare every graduating student for an engaging, productive and inspiring career, thus making them world leaders in the profession of design and planning.

MISSION:

• To provide high quality educational opportunity for graduate studies in Architecture as the present availability of such education in the state is very limited;
• To ensure that our graduates are well versed in sustainable design principles, and possess the ability to undertake rigorous analysis of their building design proposals;
• Be able to turn architectural concept designs into fully documented and realizable building structures;
• To train these graduates in life – cycle analysis to support their designs with credible estimates of performance;
• To ensure that our graduates possess an ethical, socially aware and responsible approach to their practice of Architecture;
