The Faculty Morgana Potrich now offers eight undergraduate courses, being 7 in the health area: Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Nutrition, Dentistry and Psychology. Besides the law course. It promotes, every year, hundreds of social services totally free for the local and regional community. Contributes actively to the scientific environment, publishing several articles in renowned journals in the area of health.

The Morgana Potrich FAMP - Mineiros - Goiás - Brazil Faculty has the mission of offering an academic follow-up that enables the formation of competent and socially responsible professionals. The College has no right to personal liberty, individual development, social or social development through education, but also religious freedom. And as a vision it aims to consolidate itself in the coming years as one of the most relevant reference centers of higher education in the Central-West region and be recognized for its contribution to regional and local development. The objective of the Morgana Potrich College is to train individuals as citizens, professionally competent in the performance of their duties, with respect to the ethics and values of our society, with a sense of social responsibility and conscious of their duties, in a differentiated way, contextualizing teaching and combining theory with practice, so that their graduates at the various levels are perceived by the market as highly qualified to compete for job opportunities on an equal footing with the graduates of the most traditional institutions of higher education. The second objective is to ensure that the graduates are individuals able to act in their environment, attending to the needs of the communities, in order to make them autonomous in the diagnosis of their problems and in the direction of the solutions. As the third objective of the Morgana Potrich Faculty, we have the work, in its surroundings, with the diverse communities and organizations present in it, in order to bring to them the necessary knowledge for the accomplishment of the mission established above. Finally, Morgana Potrich aims to participate in the process of creation and dissemination of knowledge, based on the activities of its research and study centers, the magazine itself and other available means of communication.

Based on the objectives described above, the FAMP at its current level of development is willing to become a teacher rather than an entity that will be guided by the following actions:

  • Promote the improvement of the various factors that affect the teaching-learning process through permanent innovation.
  • Instill in students their personal development, ethical behavior, and commitment to the community.
  • To fit in a space of meeting, reflection and generation of opinions that contribute to the development of the country.
  • Standardize itself as an HEI that contributes to regional and local development.
  • Permanently maintain the PPC (Pedagogical Course Project) of the updated courses, with profile of the egress attending to local and regional needs, following the precepts of the national curricular guidelines.
  • Establish partnerships with governmental and non-governmental entities to carry out educational activities in order to corroborate with regional and local development.
  • Implement compensatory activities for deficiencies in basic and secondary education in order to improve student performance.
  • Carry out complementary activities, one per semester, to collaborate with the process of curricular payment.
  • Preserve, disseminate knowledge and offer opportunities for ongoing training.
  • Maintain and expand a network of relations with international institutions that contribute to the consolidation of its institutional project.
  • To promote latu sensu and stricto sensu postgraduate education to develop scientificity, critical sense and creativity in students, by exercising the investigative capacity.
  • Promote high and sustainable institutional development.

The institutional principles are intended to guide the activities of several areas of action of the FAMP in a lucid and transparent manner. To this end, it should be guided by the following principles:

  • Promotion of social development: the fundamental role of an educational institution which is a precursor in the construction of a more just and egalitarian society. It foresees the search for scientific and technological innovations in the various areas of activity of FAMP, fostering the continued interaction with society.
  • Internal and external communication: I stimulate the realization of teaching, research and extension projects with social commitment of the FAMP, interacting with the regional and local productive sectors, allowing integration and accessibility to the community.
  • Affirm the academic identity of the FAMP: commitment to fostering the didactic-pedagogical structure to the new requirements. Review and adaptation of the pedagogical projects of course according to the curricular guidelines, qualification of the activities of teaching, research and extension, insertion of Information and Communication Technology, decentralized management model that prioritize collegiate structures.
  • Appreciation of people: respect for the diversity of the forces that make up the FAMP, valorization of the quality of life and permanent improvement of working conditions, I understand as its greatest source of wealth all the segments - teacher, student, technical-administrative.
  • Academic Excellence: firm commitment to the mission and institutional vision focused on the constant development and qualification of teaching, research and extension activities.

Objectives and Actions for Infrastructure

  • Update the bibliographic collection of each course, referring to the basic bibliographies included in the teaching plans of all undergraduate courses.
  • Updating the collection of periodicals of each course through renewal of signatures as well as acquiring other pertinent ones.
  • Perform updates of the Institution's home page, through information about the activities of the Courses.
  • Revise the student handbook annually for guidance on institutional activities related to the student through studies of the boards and coordinations.
  • Identify areas to be attended by new undergraduate and postgraduate courses, through market surveys conducted annually.
  • Maintain, permanently, the dissemination of undergraduate, postgraduate and extension courses, through marketing actions;
  • Extend, as necessary, and maintain the computer labs of the courses in operation;
  • To maintain the classrooms in order to meet the demands generated by the courses;
  • Expand the hardware and software technological park to increase the capacity of attending the academic community through self-service at external computer terminals and through the Internet.
  • Expand the wireless network, currently covered throughout the campus, to allow a greater number of connections.

• Optimize and automate the processes with the objective of reducing the current time spent on attending the student, thus increasing the level of quality in the services provided
