Description
Awaritse Nigeria Limited (ANL) is 100% an indigenous Marine Transportation Company servicing the Multinational Oil Companies, incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the 25th day of May 2000 with RC No. 381014.
At inception in the year 2000, ANL was just a mere corporate expression but with very clear infectious vision, mission, value and above all, passion and zest to succeed.
By reason of these business philosophies coupled with a desired propensity to meet set goals, ANL channeled her energy and lean resources to marine transportation and allied services, which started with the renting of barges and chartering of vessels in 2006.
By 2007, the lofty dream of being proud owner and operator of vessels was actualised; not with one, but two. Through 2007 to 2016, ANL has acquired 12 Vessels of different sizes and capacities: 4 DP Vessels including AHTS; 4 Supply Multipurpose Vessels and 4 Security Vessels; for which one of our Sister Companies – Ocean Explorers Nigeria Limited; a Private Maritime Security Company with extant MoU with the Nigerian Navy as well as Six Maritime Company, a Security Company based in California, U.S.A, largely composed of retired American Seals, provides the requisite security personnel.
The same vision of aspiring to be the foremost marine servicing company delivering world-class qualitative services anchored on a culture of performance consistency, has propelled us into building a Utility Support Facility (USF) – a Shipyard situated at Awaritse Industrial Park, a proposed one-stop shop for the Oil and Gas as well as marine related activities; with the following features: Jetty, Workshops, Warehouses, Maintenance and Fabrication Section, Dry-docking provision and more, of which construction has reached an advanced stage.
Currently, ANL is in the AA Category in the Nigeria Oil & Gas Industry Content Joint Qualification System (NOGIC JQS/NCDMB) Portal. She is ISO Certified – ISO 9001-2008 and fully compliant with all Local, National and International statutory and regulatory framework. Active member of International Marine Contractor Association (IMCA). Proud recipient of US Commercial Service Award for Entrepreneurship and New-to-Market Product.
From zero level vessel profile at inception to 12 Vessels as at the 2nd quarter of 2016, and still counting, was made possible not just by mere business philosophies and passion, but also by the enabling platform created by the Federal Government through the implementation of the Nigerian Content Development Act 2010, which to a remarkable extent, the multinational oil companies operating in Nigeria keyed into.
Our Clients are the oil majors viz Chevron Nigeria Limited, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, Total, West Africa Venture (WAV), Shell Petroleum Development Company amidst several others.
One key aspect of ANL expansion is its regular interface, strategic empowerment and provision of sustainable livelihood skills for members of communities in its area of operations.
This policy direction of ANL, which is encapsulated in our community affairs policy is a deliberate and sustained aspect of our Corporate Social Responsibility thrust, which pivots our zeal to, not just benefit from our host communities, but also give back to them in terms of empowerment and enhancement of entrepreneurship.
It was in appreciation of the foregoing that Obitugbo Community, wherein our Shipyard is located conferred Honorary Indigeneship of the Community on our MD/CEO, Hon. (Dr.) Godwin Ebosa on December 15, 2015.
The company’s business is ably piloted by a team of seasoned professionals ably led by the Managing Director/CEO, Hon. (Dr.) Godwin T. Ebosa, as well as other Nigerians and Expatriate Technocrats with several years of cognate experience in the Industry.
In conformity with contemporary best practices in the Industry, safety is a way of life in ANL and is integrated into the very depth of our core values as the safe way, is the only way. The company also has, and fully implements an integrated Health, Environment, Safety, Security and Community Affairs Policy and is living its founder’s dreams of providing excellent world-class services.
