Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, friends and colleagues.
As we approach the end of the year, allow me to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families this holiday season.
I would like to take some time to reflect on the past year while expressing my immense gratitude to you all for choosing to be a part of Europe Business Assembly (EBA) and Academic Union Oxford (AUO) events and congratulate you on receiving the special awards this year.
These are truly deserved recognitions that reflect huge efforts you and your colleagues made during this particularly difficult year.
COVID-19 has continued to cast its shadow over 2021, bringing plenty of challenges and opportunities into our lives. EBA and AUO positioned ourselves for growth and expansion as well as invested into new technical infrastructure while concentrated on what really matters to our business and academic community.
Similar to last year we have continued running evens i.e. Achievement forum, Excellence in Quality and Socrates Award Ceremonies online to provide accessibility to all of our members worldwide. Our particular pride is that these were attended by influential business people and academics from over 50 countries.
The Expert Committee and our research centres fulfilled their duties in recognising the best individual companies.
Equally important we run the infamous Oxford Debates on ‘the University of the Future’, which allowed academic community to share their experience during these unusual times.
Also, we launched a brand-new project the World of Delicacies, which aims to put together a comprehensive list of companies that while producing their products pay particular attention to ECO friendly ingredients, support local communities as well as provide excellent taste and quality.
I am hopeful that 2022 will bring a return to normality, and as we take steps towards a brighter future, we will always be at the front of the world agenda together.
Whatever your plans are, may I wish you happiness, prosperity and joy!
